"West Berkshire Community Connect is a flexible bus service operating on an on-demand pre-bookable basis.
Community Connect is available for anyone to use and is there to improve public transport links in West Berkshire. Its aim is to increase access to employment, education, shopping, leisure, and healthcare opportunities.
The service currently operates in the Northwest Downlands area of West Berkshire and allows you to travel from any designated pick-up point to any place within the zone and to/from Newbury Town Centre, Newbury Railway Station, West Berkshire Community Hospital and Tesco at Pinchington Lane retail park.
Journeys are matched with other passengers who are traveling in a similar direction.
We provide a modern accessible, air-conditioned vehicle that is available for bookings between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday. You can book a ride up to 7 days in advance and with as little as 30 minutes notice, subject to availability on the vehicle.
Booking a journey:
Choose the day and time you wish to travel.
Select your closest collection point and arrival point.
A booking option will appear, and this can be accepted or declined.
Booking confirmation window will appear.
Details of the vehicle and its arrival status will be on the booking page and within the notifications section.
Your journey can be tracked on the map within the app.
